Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex civil engineering projects from initiation to close-out, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Conduct advanced engineering analysis, design calculations, and prepare detailed construction documents for various infrastructure projects (e.g., roadways, drainage, utilities, site development).
- Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff, fostering their professional development.
- Engage proactively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are secured.
- Perform quality control reviews of plans, specifications, and estimates prepared by other engineers.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation and client relationship management.
- Ensure all project deliverables comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry best practices.
- Implement sustainable design principles and innovative engineering solutions to enhance project efficiency and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proven expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, StormCAD, or equivalent design software.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal design standards and permitting processes (e.g., TxDOT, TCEQ, city ordinances).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for effective client and team collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with stormwater management, flood control, and resilient infrastructure design is highly desirable.
