Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large-scale municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, and utility networks.
- Prepare and review comprehensive engineering plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and local government agencies.
- Perform advanced structural and hydraulic modeling to ensure safety and code compliance.
- Oversee on-site construction activities to ensure strict adherence to engineering designs and quality standards.
- Manage project schedules and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Review and approve permit applications while ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD software packages.
- In-depth knowledge of local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental compliance standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of managing high-pressure construction environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead stakeholder meetings and client presentations.
