Responsibilities
- Lead the design and oversight of large-scale municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, and utility networks.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for high-stakes urban developments.
- Coordinate with public agencies, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project compliance and timely approvals.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform advanced structural and hydraulic calculations using industry-standard simulation software.
- Mentor junior staff and participate in the technical review of engineering designs and construction documents.
- Provide on-site construction administration and technical support during the implementation phase.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Texas is mandatory.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD.
- In-depth knowledge of local Houston and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) design standards.
- Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar projects and cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
