Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and transportation infrastructure.
- Manage project lifecycles from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed engineering reports and calculations.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and permit applications in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Serve as a primary technical resource and mentor to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- Perform quality control reviews of designs, plans, and reports to maintain the highest standards of engineering excellence.
- Utilize advanced civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, StormCAD) for analysis, modeling, and design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with other design software (e.g., Revit, ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal codes, regulations, and permitting processes (e.g., EPA, CDOT, Denver Water).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
