Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design phase of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roadway, drainage, and utilities.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure adherence to scope and quality standards.
- Perform advanced structural analysis and technical calculations using industry-standard engineering software.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Coordinate with municipal agencies, stakeholders, and construction teams to navigate permitting and regulatory landscapes.
- Conduct site investigations and produce comprehensive engineering reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure all project designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or the ability to obtain reciprocity.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in civil design and infrastructure project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD.
- Demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams and client communication.
- In-depth knowledge of local Houston municipal infrastructure standards and environmental requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
