Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of large-scale municipal civil engineering projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including architects, surveyors, and environmental consultants.
- Perform complex structural and hydrological analysis to ensure site safety and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering cost estimates.
- Manage regulatory permitting processes with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and oversee quality control for all design documentation.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure or municipal design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD software suites.
- Strong understanding of local zoning laws, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project timelines and budgets simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
