Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and municipal drainage systems.
- Supervise project lifecycle from initial feasibility studies to final construction close-out.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with local, state, and federal regulatory standards.
- Coordinate seamlessly with architects, environmental consultants, and city stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timeline milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff and design engineers.
- Review and approve technical reports, structural drawings, and site investigation data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD.
- Demonstrated history of successful project management in municipal or commercial sectors.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client-facing engagements.
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards and local Houston municipal codes.
