Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roadway, drainage, and utility systems.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycles from preliminary engineering reports to final construction documents.
- Coordinate seamlessly with local municipal authorities, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform complex engineering calculations and oversee advanced modeling software (AutoCAD Civil 3D/Bentley) to ensure project precision.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and technical accuracy.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control audits to ensure designs are implemented according to specifications.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines to meet critical milestones under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or the ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive experience in civil site development or heavy infrastructure engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and StormCAD.
- Demonstrated history of successful project management in a fast-paced consulting or design firm environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local Houston/Texas municipal codes and stormwater management regulations.
