Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex municipal infrastructure projects, including roadways and drainage systems.
- Manage project lifecycles from feasibility studies through construction administration.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Coordinate seamlessly with city stakeholders, environmental agencies, and private developers.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet rigorous quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Develop detailed technical specifications, project cost estimates, and permit applications.
- Oversee site inspections to ensure construction alignment with approved engineering plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in civil site development or public works.
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and stormwater modeling software.
- Deep understanding of local municipal codes, zoning laws, and environmental permitting.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable and innovative design.
