Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of large-scale municipal infrastructure projects including roadways, drainage, and utility systems.
- Supervise junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance on complex project workflows.
- Coordinate with government agencies, private stakeholders, and local municipalities to secure necessary permits and compliance approvals.
- Perform comprehensive feasibility studies and site analysis to ensure safety and long-term project viability.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to meet aggressive construction deadlines.
- Utilize advanced modeling software to simulate load-bearing capacities and environmental impacts.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure strict adherence to engineering plans and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in civil infrastructure design or urban development.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and Bluebeam.
- Deep understanding of Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards and local permitting requirements.
- Exceptional leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing cross-functional technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
