Responsibilities
- Lead Design & Planning: Direct the technical design and planning of civil engineering projects, including complex site grading, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
- Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive site surveys, analyze topographical data, and prepare detailed engineering reports and feasibility studies.
- Project Management: Oversee project lifecycles from conception to completion, managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure optimal delivery.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Partner with architects, contractors, and government agencies to ensure strict adherence to local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Drafting & Documentation: Produce high-precision technical drawings, construction documents, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development to junior engineers and engineering interns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred; strong alternative experience is considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in civil site design and infrastructure development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D with a proven track record of producing high-quality deliverables.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Texas state building codes, ADA compliance, and environmental regulations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional project management skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and a detail-oriented mindset.
