As a Senior Civil Engineer at Apex, you will lead complex design initiatives, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring architectural visions to life. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and supervision of civil engineering projects, including site planning, grading, drainage, and roadway design.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery within scope and budget constraints.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and municipal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and facilitate smooth construction processes.
- Conduct structural analysis and feasibility studies to recommend optimal engineering solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil design and construction management.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools (STAAD, SAP2000).
- Strong understanding of local NYC building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Exceptional project management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
