About Us: Apex Civil Engineering Solutions is a leading consultancy firm dedicated to delivering innovative infrastructure projects across the UK. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in London.
Role Overview: As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and management of civil engineering projects. You will lead a team of junior engineers and collaborate with architects, planners, and clients to bring high-quality structures to life while adhering to strict safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial concept and design through to construction supervision and final handover.
- Design & Analysis: Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, and specifications using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D).
- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with UK building regulations, local by-laws, and health and safety legislation.
- Client Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical advice, progress updates, and cost estimates.
- Team Supervision: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct thorough site surveys and feasibility assessments to determine project viability and potential risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MEng or BEng required).
- Licensure: Chartered status (CEng) or Membership of a recognized professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in civil infrastructure, structural design, or site management.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
