The Role:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take the lead in designing, planning, and managing civil infrastructure projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, contractors, surveyors).
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, calculations, and construction specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and safety standards.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide technical updates and address concerns.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MSc or Chartered status is highly desirable).
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.
- Full valid UK driving license.
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation (NEBOSH or similar certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
