In this role, you will take the helm on high-profile commercial and residential site development projects. You will collaborate with elite architects, urban planners, and municipal stakeholders to deliver sustainable, high-quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex commercial and residential site development projects from conception to completion.
- Prepare and review comprehensive engineering plans, including grading, drainage, paving, and utility designs.
- Conduct advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater management and detention systems.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and under-budget delivery.
- Liaise directly with clients, municipal authorities, and contractors to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineering staff and CAD technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Perform periodic site inspections to ensure strict compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field (Master's preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
- Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in civil site design and land development.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or HydroCAD).
- Deep understanding of local Houston and Harris County codes, permitting processes, and drainage criteria.
- Exceptional project management, communication, and client-facing presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary technical team.
