Responsibilities
- Design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases from conception to completion
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis for large-scale developments
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations (TxDOT, FEMA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using BIM/CIM technologies
- Develop sustainable solutions for urban expansion and climate resilience challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews for technical excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record managing projects over $10M with complex permitting requirements
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and Houston municipal codes
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for geotechnical and structural challenges
