Responsibilities
- Oversee design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (transportation, water resources, structural systems)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental consultants, contractors)
- Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code, ASCE standards, and ADA requirements
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare technical reports, construction documents, and permit applications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of design deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE license in New York State
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and GIS applications
- Experience with NYC DEP and DOT permitting processes
- Demonstrated project management skills (PMP certification a plus)
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices (LEED AP preferred)
- Excellent written/verbal communication and client presentation skills
