Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project lifecycles from conception through commissioning while ensuring compliance with TxDOT/FHA regulations
- Oversee site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and environmental impact studies
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects and contractors
- Develop innovative solutions for complex challenges like flood mitigation and seismic resilience
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record managing projects over $10M
- Familiarity with TxDOT, FEMA, and LEED certification processes
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex engineering problems
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
