Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and urban transit systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with Illinois DOT and municipal regulations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental consultants, contractors)
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical documentation
- Develop sustainable design solutions meeting LEED certification standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of experience in transportation or structural engineering
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and construction management software
- Demonstrated success leading projects over $50M in value
- Expert knowledge of Chicago Building Code and Illinois construction regulations
- Strong analytical skills with FEMA floodplain modeling experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
