Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site plans, grading, drainage, and utility layouts.
- Conduct thorough site surveys and geotechnical analyses to ensure project feasibility and safety.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including calculations, specifications, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, coordinating closely with architects, contractors, and municipal authorities.
- Ensure all engineering designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes and environmental regulations.
- Perform structural analysis and peer reviews to validate engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and relevant building codes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
