Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using BIM/CAD tools and ensure compliance with ASCE/ICC standards
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation while maintaining client relationships
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and risk analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative team culture
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure challenges
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (IDOT, EPA) for permitting and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Strong expertise in transportation, structural, or water resource engineering
- Demonstrated project management experience with $10M+ budgets
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
