Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and feasibility studies
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and local municipal regulations
- Oversee construction phase services including field inspections and quality control
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil design and project management
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS/HMS) and structural analysis software
- Proven track record leading projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and permitting processes
- Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor junior engineers
- LEED AP or equivalent sustainability certification preferred
- Experience with public-private partnership (P3) projects advantageous
