Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including transportation networks, water treatment facilities, and urban development plans
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation ensuring compliance with municipal and federal regulations
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including environmental specialists, urban planners, and construction managers
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including construction drawings, specifications, and quality control protocols
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for large-scale civil engineering initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews to maintain design excellence and safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with focus on infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York State
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and geospatial analysis tools
- Expertise in NYC building codes, ADA compliance, and FEMA floodplain regulations
- Demonstrated experience managing projects exceeding $25M in value
- Strong leadership abilities with proven track record of cross-functional team coordination
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials preferred
