Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, and transit systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code, OSHA regulations, and environmental standards
- Conduct site inspections and quality control for construction phases
- Develop innovative sustainable design solutions targeting LEED Gold certification
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in New York State
- Proven expertise in NYC municipal permitting processes
- Strong proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and finite element analysis
- Experience leading projects exceeding $50M in construction value
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships (DOT, DEP, community boards)
- Certification in sustainable infrastructure (Envision, EDGE) highly desirable
