Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for concurrent initiatives
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations and safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external stakeholders (municipalities, contractors, clients)
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
- Prepare technical documentation including plans, specifications, and environmental impact reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expertise in transportation engineering, hydraulic systems, or structural design
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Strong proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and geospatial analysis tools
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Demonstrated experience with public procurement processes and contract administration
