Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform hydraulic modeling and structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterGEMS)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies (TxDOT, Harris County) for compliance
- Develop cost estimates, construction schedules, and quality control protocols
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of project deliverables
- Research and implement sustainable infrastructure solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and transportation planning software
- Demonstrated expertise in FEMA floodplain management and TCEQ permitting
- Strong project management skills with $10M+ project experience
- Knowledge of local Houston building codes and ADA compliance standards
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
