Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, and municipal infrastructure
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and construction managers
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new developments
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including construction plans, specifications, and reports
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; PE license required
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and BIM tools
- Demonstrated expertise in transportation engineering and hydraulic systems
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain regulations
- Proven ability to manage projects exceeding $5M in value
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
