Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex civil infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and municipal systems
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental scientists, contractors) throughout project lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with Canadian Building Code, Ontario Building Code, and municipal regulations
- Utilize BIM/CAD software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) for detailed engineering documentation
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and feasibility studies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using MS Project
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience in Ontario
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in good standing with OPEA
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record in transportation infrastructure and structural design
- Familiarity with LEED and sustainable infrastructure practices
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification advantageous
- Excellent communication abilities for client and stakeholder engagement
