Responsibilities
- Design and oversee civil engineering projects including bridges, transit systems, and sustainable water management
- Lead site investigations, feasibility studies, and compliance with local/state regulations
- Develop detailed construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM modeling
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Conduct structural analysis and resolve complex engineering challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Prepare technical reports, permits, and environmental impact assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure design and construction
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record with large-scale municipal projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ICC, and Illinois DOT standards
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities
