Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of large-scale municipal infrastructure projects
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and construction managers
- Ensure compliance with Chicago Building Code, OSHA regulations, and FEMA standards
- Develop cost estimates and project schedules using Primavera P6
- Conduct site investigations and analyze geotechnical data
- Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder communications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of experience in transportation or structural engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS software
- Proven track record managing projects over $5M
- Familiarity with IDOT and Chicago DOT permitting processes
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
