Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex transportation and structural projects
- Oversee site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and foundation systems
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and international building codes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Develop innovative solutions for seismic resilience and sustainable materials
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental specialists)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure design
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects >$50M value
- Familiarity with Houston-specific permitting and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical skills for forensic failure investigations
- Certification in LEED or Envision sustainable infrastructure preferred
- Excellent presentation skills for public hearings and client negotiations
