Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for 3-5 concurrent projects
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations (TCEOT, FEMA)
- Develop detailed construction documentation and specifications
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and professional development
- Coordinate with environmental consultants and permitting agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Expertise in transportation engineering, hydraulics, and structural systems
- Proficiency with BIM/CIM modeling and civil engineering software
- Proven track record of managing projects >$10M
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT and Harris County design standards
- Experience with stormwater management and flood mitigation projects
- Excellent problem-solving and client communication skills
