Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit BIM software
- Conduct site investigations, soil analysis, and geotechnical assessments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and international building codes
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and bid documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000)
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale transportation or water resource projects
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices (LEED certification a plus)
- Exceptional project management and client communication skills
- Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers
