Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of major infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Manage project lifecycle from conceptual planning through construction phase coordination
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews for technical deliverables
- Develop hydraulic models and stormwater management systems compliant with FEMA regulations
- Coordinate with surveying teams and geotechnical engineers for site-specific solutions
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Present designs to municipal authorities and secure necessary permits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record with TxDOT and Harris County project requirements
- Strong knowledge of AASHTO, ACI, and local building codes
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and client relations
- Familiarity with sustainable infrastructure practices and LEED certification
