Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and urban developments
- Perform advanced structural analysis and geotechnical assessments using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D)
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal regulations including OSHA and Chicago Building Codes
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation while maintaining quality control standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and environmental specialists
- Develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges in urban environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to uphold design excellence
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience with 3+ years in senior roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in structural design, geotechnical engineering, and construction management
- Proficiency with BIM/CIM modeling and construction documentation software
- Proven track record of delivering multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design practices and resilient infrastructure principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
