Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations and standards
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews of technical deliverables
- Develop client relationships through regular progress updates and solution presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE license (Illinois) or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling and transportation planning software
- Proven track record of managing projects over $10M in value
- Strong knowledge of ADA, OSHA, and Chicago Building Codes
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- LEED AP certification or sustainable design experience
