Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including transportation networks, water systems, and urban developments
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FEA software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and hydraulic modeling tools
- Manage project lifecycles from feasibility studies through construction supervision and commissioning
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA, USACE) to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documentation
- Develop sustainable solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles and resilient design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- PE license required with minimum 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS platforms
- Demonstrated experience with complex transportation or water resource projects
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain regulations
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to optimize designs for cost and performance
