Responsibilities
- Oversee design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (transportation, water systems, urban development)
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (ILDOT, Chicago Building Code)
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for complex projects
- Implement sustainable design practices and LEED certification protocols
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Present technical reports to stakeholders and municipal authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM software
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure projects in urban environments
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles and structural analysis
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with public-private partnership (P3) projects
