As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and management of civil engineering projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure our visions become reality while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Design & Analysis: Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation).
- Compliance: Ensure all designs and construction activities comply with UK building regulations, CDM regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical updates and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Site Supervision: Regularly visit project sites to monitor progress, quality control, and resolve on-site engineering challenges.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and graduate staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BEng) or Master’s degree (MEng) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience (minimum 5-8 years) in civil engineering, preferably within the UK construction or infrastructure sector.
- Registration: Chartered status (ICE, IStructE, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, BIM (Building Information Modeling), and project management tools.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting engineering issues.
