Responsibilities
- Lead the design and planning of large-scale civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Manage project lifecycles from initial conception through to completion, ensuring strict adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and feasibility studies to ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors, to integrate engineering solutions effectively.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, reports, and specifications using advanced CAD software.
- Ensure all work complies with local, regional, and national building regulations and safety standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (MEng or BEng) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Chartered status (MICE or CEng) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering within the UK market.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations (Part L, Part B) and health and safety legislation.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
