Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with Canadian Building Codes and OSHA standards
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with architects, environmental consultants, and government agencies
- Develop innovative sustainable design solutions for LEED-certified infrastructure projects
- Conduct site investigations and prepare detailed technical reports and construction documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with P.Eng. licensure in Ontario
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure design
- Expertise in transportation engineering, hydrology modeling, and geotechnical analysis
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and advanced finite element analysis software
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $50M in value
- Strong knowledge of Ontario's Design & Construction Standards (OBC, MTO)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
