Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil engineering projects including transportation, water resources, and structural systems
- Perform advanced hydraulic modeling and geotechnical analysis using Auto Civil 3D and Bentley OpenRoads
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for permitting and compliance with TCEQ and FHWA standards
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multidisciplinary teams
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews for construction documentation
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure including green stormwater management
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, cost estimates, and bid specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in Civil 3D, BIM 360, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects $10M+ in value
- Deep knowledge of Texas local codes, TCEQ regulations, and FEMA floodplain requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in geotechnical and structural analysis
- Certification in LEED or Envision sustainability preferred
