Responsibilities
- Design and oversee municipal infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and water systems
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycle from concept to completion
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (DOT, OSHA, ADA)
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new developments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Develop innovative sustainable engineering solutions
- Coordinate with government agencies and private stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM software
- Proven track record of managing complex municipal projects
- Strong knowledge of Illinois engineering codes and standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- LEED AP certification preferred
- PMP certification a plus
