Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of large-scale civil infrastructure projects (transportation, water resources, structural systems)
- Oversee project lifecycle from feasibility studies through construction completion, ensuring compliance with ASCE, TCEQ, and local regulations
- Develop innovative engineering solutions using BIM/CIM technologies (Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage cross-functional teams including surveyors, geotechnical specialists, and environmental consultants
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analyses, and constructability reviews
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates for client presentations
- Mentor junior engineers and implement continuous improvement processes in project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in civil infrastructure design with PE license (Texas)
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) and transportation planning (TransCAD)
- Proven track record managing $5M+ infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Houston-specific permitting processes (TCEQ, Harris County Flood Control)
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) or LEED AP preferred
- Advanced proficiency in geospatial analysis (GIS) and construction management software
- Demonstrated experience with federal/state funding programs (TxDOT, FEMA)
