Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Lead site investigations, soil testing, and geotechnical evaluations
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards (TCEQ, FHWA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multi-million dollar initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Coordinate with architects, environmental specialists, and municipal agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in civil engineering software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and BIM tools
- Demonstrated experience with transportation and water resource projects
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent communication abilities for client and stakeholder presentations
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and LEED certification
