Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects, from initial concept and site analysis to final design and construction administration.
- Conduct thorough site investigations, soil analysis, and geotechnical evaluations to ensure project feasibility.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates in compliance with local and federal building codes.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources while ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with architects, urban planners, and government agencies to facilitate project approvals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into designs.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on municipal or commercial infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of NYC Building Code, NYCDEP regulations, and environmental compliance standards.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data to diverse stakeholders.
