Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects including transportation, water systems, and structural developments
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for urban infrastructure initiatives
- Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM software
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources while ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to secure permits and approvals
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews of technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in the State of Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated expertise in municipal infrastructure projects and ADA compliance
- Strong understanding of Chicago Building Code and Illinois DOT standards
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex budgets
