Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including transportation, water resources, and structural systems
- Manage project lifecycles from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for complex engineering challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental specialists, contractors)
- Develop detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Oversee quality control, safety protocols, and sustainable engineering practices
- Client relationship management and business development support
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- PE licensure in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience with transportation, water resources, or structural design
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Knowledge of Houston-specific codes and permitting processes
