Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Lead the full lifecycle of civil engineering projects from conceptualization and feasibility studies through to final design and construction administration.
- Site Development: Conduct site analysis, prepare grading plans, drainage designs, and utility coordination for commercial and residential developments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed construction documents, including blueprints, specifications, and reports using advanced CAD software.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and hydraulic design.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
