Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and water treatment facilities
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and contractors through project lifecycle
- Conduct advanced structural analysis using BIM/CAD software (Revit, Civil 3D)
- Ensure compliance with ASCE standards, local building codes, and environmental regulations
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for concurrent initiatives
- Present technical solutions to municipal boards and private stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE licensure required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects
- Expertise in structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- LEED AP certification strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Chicago municipal permitting processes
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
